Between 6-18 months after completing the fishermen’s basic safety training, it is a mandatory requirement that all crews are required to complete the Safety Awareness and Managing Safety at Sea course.
A one day course.
This course is not funded and must be paid for by each crew member. Achievement of this certificate will qualify fishermen to progress to units towards the Under 16.5m Skippers Ticket.
