Assessment and Examination
All Apprentices will be registered with the Assessment Centre (North West Kent College) and with the Awarding Body (EDEXCEL) for purposes of technical certification and with O.C.R. (Oxford, Cambridge and RSA) for the purpose of Key Skills certification, upon commencement of the Apprenticeship.
Assessment will take the form of regular reviews of portfolios and underpinning knowledge, the results of which may require variations to the Individual Apprenticeship Plan to be made with agreement of the learner. Apprentices can be assessed on individual units, on groups of units or on the whole qualification. Final assessment will take the form of inspection of all of the evidence prepared by the Apprentice during the duration of the Apprenticeship and by formal assessment oral questioning.
TECHNICAL CERTIFICATE
Upon completion of assessment of all units, the Apprentice will undertake a technical certificate exam. This consists of a multi-choice question paper and the candidate has up 1 hour to complete the paper.
